Mission / Profil

You will be involved in Big Data projects run by Davidson for its customers in varied sectors (Gaming, Wealth, Telecoms, Finance, etc.), working as a developer on existing or developing platforms.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring technology developments
  • Creating software architectures for improving calculation and resource efficiency
  • Developing in Python (occasionally R), JS
  • Helping to encrypt solutions (poker planning) and prioritising (backlog)
  • Handling large volumes of data, challenging traditional calculation methods
  • Debugging, bug fixes
  • Providing support and advice to users
  • Delivering training and presentations (meetups)

 

Skills (pre-existing or to be acquired)

  • You will have a postgraduate degree and some initial successful dev experience
  • Conversant with Python, R or Java, Scala, Hadoop technologies and environments
  • Some initial successful experience in IT/Big Data development
  • Agile experience
